What are the requirements for an operating partner?

An operating partner is required to have at least  5+ years of restaurant management or ownership experience.  Gyro Shack will vet all operating partners.

What support will I receive going forward?

From the get-go, Gyro Shack will provide comprehensive training, grand opening assistance, ongoing operational and marketing support and more!
Our Franchise Fee is directly tied to the amount of opening support you receive. Our objective is to build a Brand with experienced operators that need less support, but we will strive to keep visitation by our staff on a regular basis, several times per year.

How many employees does it take to operate a unit?

The average unit takes approximately 4-8 people on shift with a crew size of 12-20. Sales higher than the current corporate location average will require more staff to operate.

Can I own just one unit?

Gyro Shack is currently seeking both single and multi-unit operators.

What are the royalty and advertising fees?

To invest in Gyro Shack the royalty fees are 6 percent of the store’s gross sales. Additionally, the marketing and technology fund fees are 1.5 percent of gross sales.

How soon can I open? How long does the process take?

The franchisee approval process may take up to 180 days. It is imperative to find the right franchisees and Gyro Shack will take the necessary time to do so. Gyro Shack requires a proposed site to be submitted within 180 days of signing the Franchise Agreement. This may be a shorter period of time depending on real estate availability.

What have other franchisees experienced opening a Gyro Shack in their market?

I was attracted to Gyro Shack because of the quality and simplicity of the menu. Also, the concept itself. QSR Gyro’s is new to our market, and it has been very well received. The support we have received has been excellent. Any questions, big or small, they have been quick to answer and to help with. The onsite training, as well as the Corporate training, is very thorough and beneficial. We have received only positive feedback on the food. We are serving a top quality Gyro product, and everyone is extremely impressed. We have a lot of customers that have never had a Gyro and once they try it, they are hooked. We are planning to continue to grow Albuquerque. We will have multiple locations, our food truck and our catering department. We are getting requests to build locations in all areas of town. With how well the Gyros are being received in the market, the only challenge with growth will be trying to keep up with demand. I have been in the restaurant business for over 30 years. I have been involved in many different concepts. The Gyro Shack is a concept that can go into any market and be successful.
